Omni San Diego Hotel Rooms

The 511 guestrooms and suites at the Omni Hotel encompass elegance and sophistication with contemporary style and modern amenities. Each of the guest rooms and suites is equipped with windows that open, pillow top mattresses, and a choice of feather, foam, or down pillows. Rooms also offer a completely stocked refreshment center, coffee/tea makers, and an executive work desk with modem outlets. Business travelers will appreciate the two dual-line phones, speaker phone with voicemail, and in-room electronic safe. Leisure travelers will love the 40” LED flat-screen HDTV, plush terry cloth bathrobes, individual climate control, MP3 clock radio, and soothing sound machine. Rooms combine cozy warmth with modern functionality for an unforgettable stay.

Guests may choose between two options – Deluxe or Premier Rooms. The differences between them are the floor the rooms are on and the views. Deluxe Rooms are on floors five to 21 and offer views of the neighboring Gaslamp Quarter. Premier Rooms are located on floors eight to 21 with views of San Diego Bay or the Downtown Skyline. Both choices have 360 square feet, floor-to-ceiling windows, and either one King bed or two Queen beds. Serta Pillow Top mattresses are fitted with 330-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets. These rooms are a great choice for solo business travelers, couples, or a small family of four.

Guests looking for a bit more space and a few added amenities will want one of Omni’s three suite options – Executive Suites at 520 square feet, One-bedroom Suites at 640 square feet, or Terrace Suites at 650 square feet. Executive Suites have one King bed, and a separate living room with full-size sleeper sofa. These suites are located on floors seven to 20 with views of San Diego Bay or the Coronado Bridge, and have the option of a connecting room with two double beds. One-bedroom Suites have a king bed with a separate spacious living area featuring a full-size sleeper sofa. They are located on floors eight to 20 with views of either the San Diego Bay, the Coronado Bridge, or Petco Park; guests can opt to add a connecting room with a King bed. Terrace Suites have a spacious living area with one King bed, and a full-size sleeper sofa, they are all located on the 6th floor with quaint outdoor terraces that overlook the swimming pool. This option does not allow for a connecting guestroom.

Note: There are two high-end luxury suites. They are the Tony Gwynn Suite on the 20th floor and the President Jimmy Carter Suite on the 21st floor. Each has exceptional square footage, unparalleled sweeping views, and astounding amenities and furnishings such as wet-bars, expansive balconies, or marble foyer entries. ADA accessible guestrooms are also available with a wide range of ADA features.

Omni San Diego Hotel Amenities

The Omni San Diego Hotel has no shortage of on-site amenities starting with their complimentary full-service state-of-the-art fitness center that includes water, fruit, towels, and locker rooms. Directly across from the entrance to the fitness center is a beautifully designed 8,000-square-foot outdoor oasis. This beautiful space is surrounded by palm trees with a heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, stunning stone fireplace, luxurious tanning deck, and seasonally open Palm Terrace Restaurant. Guests can watch the game on one of numerous flat-screen televisions, while dining on a light lunch or appetizer complemented by a refreshing cocktail at the restaurant/bar. Palm Terrace Restaurant is open May to September from the late morning to early evening.

Morsel’s, also on the 6th floor Palm Terrace, is an on-site coffee shop. Guests can choose from a delectable assortment of pastries and desserts as well as Peet’s Coffee and Teas for a morning pick-me-up. Morsel’s relocated to the terrace in Jamuary, 2016 to make way for Zumbido, their new first floor coffee, beer, and wine bar.

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant at the Omni is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast menu offers traditional items like omelets, pancakes, waffles, and two-egg combinations. Lunch and dinner guests can indulge in an extensive menu featuring 30 varieties of fresh fish, and a wide selection of poultry, aged steaks, pastas, and salads to satisfy any palate.

Business travelers will love the Omni Hotel premier on-site business center that is serviced by The UPS Store. The well-appointed center is right next to the main ballroom and includes mail and packaging services, photocopy and fax machines, and a computer with access to the Internet for a small fee. There are also 21 on-site meeting rooms with a total of 27,000 square feet, including a 9,266-square-foot Grand Ballroom that can be utilized as one big room, or sectioned to as many as five individual meeting and event spaces.

All meeting and event spaces are equipped with the latest amenities, including access to on-site audio/visual services. There is space for a 1,055-person theater, 790-person banquet, and three state-of-the-art boardrooms, including one on the 19th floor with a private executive office and workstation. Weddings can be held in the Grand Ballroom, and outdoor receptions are offered on the Palm Terrace accommodating up to 500 people.

The Omni Hotel is home to neighborhood favorite, L Street Fine Art Gallery, curated by Kay Colvin. The gallery has gained a reputation for presenting outstanding exhibitions and promoting the artwork of local San Diego artists and others. Note: There are no lifeguards at the pool, and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is an ADA lift at the pool for accessibility. Omni San Diego Hotel Gaslamp Neighborhood

Guests can easily access the Padre’s ballpark at Petco Park with the sky-line bridge and a ticket, but for those who would like a more old-time outside-the-fence experience try “Park at the Park.” Located on K Street, you can watch the game on the big screen or through the chain link fence surrounding the outfield for just $5. Bring your own blanket and snacks, spread out on the grassy hillside, and enjoy the game. Families can spend a few hours together at the Chuck Jones Gallery in the Gaslamp Quarter, where the legendary Looney Tunes animation director’s 60 years of work are proudly displayed. The exhibits feature a wide range of animators and cartoonists, both past and present, featuring well known characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, and more. Follow the museum with Chicago-style pizzas and beer at Berkeley Pizza. For a more upscale experience, The Blind Burro at 6th Avenue and J Street is a hip East Village Mexican eatery that serves Baja-style coastal cuisine in a fun setting.
