The Bahia Resort Hotel is uniquely positioned on a private 14-acre peninsula in stunning Mission Bay. The 314-room hotel is located near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and West Mission Bay Drive – just a half block from the iconic Belmont Park, and is itself a San Diego icon among beach hotels. The Mediterranean-style décor is complemented by the outdoor tropical garden setting complete with seal and duck ponds, garden gazebo, and garden fountain. The Bahia celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2003 and continues to be an in-demand San Diego vacation destination for families who introduce the next generation to all it has to offer.

Bahia Resort Mission Beach Neighborhood
The Bahia Resort Hotel is in the heart of exciting Mission Bay. The obvious place to start exploring is historic Belmont Park, just a half block away at the corner of Mission Boulevard and West Mission Bay Drive. Around the back of the park along the boardwalk is the Wave House open-air beach bar and surf pool, and the adjacent Mission Beach Park; here you’ll always find something happening that is photo-worthy. Across the street is Bonita Cove Park – a great place for a romantic or family picnic.
Across from Belmont Park the other direction on Ventura Place is the Sandbar Sports Grill, a small, popular place to stop in for football, a beer, and a sandwich at a reasonable price. Try their Skybar for a drink with a view. Another neighborhood favorite that transforms into a football venue on Sundays is Guava Beach Bar & Grill. Voted best beach bar, they have endless specials, so check out their website; they’re nearby on Mission Boulevard.
You’d be remiss if you never left the bayside to experience the Pacific Ocean a block and a half away. Bike the length of Mission Beach and Pacific Beach to Crystal Pier and back to get the big picture. Join in a beach volleyball game, try your hand at boogie boarding, or just relax on one of the best and widest beaches in San Diego. (Note: Drinking alcohol on the beach is no longer allowed and will result in a ticket from one of the San Diego police patrolling the beaches on 4-wheelers – they don’t play.)
