c Family Restaurant is a fun-filled eatery located in the legendary LEGOLAND California Resort Hotel. A buffet-style restaurant, Bricks focuses on providing a family-friendly environment “where parents can relax in the knowledge that anything goes.” The restaurant’s uninhibited and carefree attitude affords parents and children a judgment free dining experience where drawing on the tables and screaming with glee are not only welcomed, but encouraged. As an extension of LEGOLAND, the restaurant stays true to the park’s energetically vibrant character offering visitors one more memorable experience before having to return to the real world.
Bricks Family Restaurant Ambiance
As with everything at LEGOLAND California, Bricks Family Restaurant seamlessly blends creativity with functionality. A barrage of bold colors immediately catch the eye; every color of the rainbow is on display from the chairs to the giant decorative pieces. The latter tend to be in LEGO form, including life-sized LEGO kitchen equipment, LEGO spinning plates, and LEGO food dishes. Some of these LEGO designs can even be quite mischievous, just look at what the LEGO chefs are getting into at the various culinary stations.
Bricks wacky and charismatic decor is only rivaled by its thoughtful design, kids will find they have a section of the buffet specifically tailored to their needs with buffet stations that are lowered to accommodate their stature and filled with the foods they love.
Be on the Lookout: Bricks Family Restaurant is frequented by Hotel Heros throughout the day (at least once every hour during business hours). Kids will meet all of their favorite Heros including Jesters, Knights, Adventurers, Pirates, and other prominent Royals. They love to sing, can’t help but dance, and enjoy when everyone joins in the fun!

Bricks Family Restaurant Details
While Bricks Family Restaurant is ideal for breakfast and dinner, it isn’t a place for lunch. After breakfast finishes the buffet closes down during the lunch hours so the kitchen can prep for the dinner buffet. But don’t fret, LEGOLAND still has you covered. The hotel’s Skyline Café is open every day with an incredible lunch menu of made-to-order appetizers and entrees as well as a selection of desserts, beers, wines, and craft beverages.
Unlike many traditional buffets, Bricks does allow table reservations, and actually recommends it for all parties of eight and over. If you’re planning on lodging at the resort, they suggest booking the Bricks Character Dinner Buffet with your room reservation, so you can receive their 20% off discount.
Children under two years of age eat free at Bricks Family Restaurant. The buffet is equipped with a full bar and provides an outdoor seating area. There are no televisions, but there is free Wi-Fi so parents can feel free to bring their iPads and other electronics with them if they choose.
Bonus Point: After enjoying a meal at Bricks, guests can easily access LEGOLAND via a pathway that connects the amusement park to the resort.
Bricks Family Restaurant Neighborhood
Carlsbad is an affluent community known as “The Village by the Sea.” It’s located roughly halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. The coastal village boasts a charming elegance reminiscent of a European city while still retaining a laid-back, organic atmosphere typical of a California beach town. Well-known for its upscale shopping and restaurant scene, visitors will find an array of exquisite boutique shops as well as several fine-dining eateries, many of which provide incredibly scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. Watersports and beach activities are also very popular here thanks to seven miles of sandy beaches along the Pacific where swimming, surfing, boogey-boarding, paddle-boarding, and sand sports are among the favorite pastimes. Prominent attractions include LEGOLAND (of course), Sea Life Aquarium, and South Carlsbad State Beach.
