Accommodations at Courtyard by Marriott San Diego come in three options: king guestroom, double queen guestroom, and king suite. All three have the same amenities and are differentiated only by room configuration, room size, and number of beds. King rooms and suites have sofa beds, so every room/suite accommodates four guests. All guestroom styles are mobility accessible, but king suites don’t offer roll in showers.
The hotel’s 197 guestrooms and three suites have a subtle and contemporary room décor that is done in gray tones with pops of gold. Rooms are carpeted, furnishings are cherry wood, and abstract and modern art pieces adorn the walls. All rooms have soundproof windows or patio doors that open.
Room amenities include Marriott signature bedding, mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker/tea service, microwave, 40” TV, work desk and ergonomic chair, and sitting area. Some rooms have small balconies, and some rooms overlook the beautiful San Diego Bay.
Bathrooms have a neutral color palette, arched shower curtain rods, granite countertops, and Paul Mitchell bath products.

Other transportation options from the airport to the hotel include Cloud9 shuttles or city taxi, both about the same price.
The Lounge Restaurant and Bar are newly renovated and open for breakfast and dinner. The hotel does not offer complementary breakfasts, but guests can choose from continental breakfast, hot á la carte breakfast, or a tantalizing breakfast buffet. Each option is a set price. Breakfast or dinner can be taken in the stylish restaurant, or on the outside terrace adjacent to the pool area. The terrace also has lovely sitting areas with a fire pit. Dress is casual.
The Bistro Deli is a Starbucks satellite where guests can get a cup of coffee, juice, sandwich, or other items throughout the day.
Business center amenities include copy and fax services, Internet, printing, overnight delivery and pickup, and translating services. There are 4,590 square feet of meeting space in a variety of venues. Although Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet are complementary and available throughout the property, there is a daily fee for ‘enhanced’ high-speed Internet suitable for video chat, streaming videos, and large downloads.
The heated outdoor pool and whirlpool overlook a park and have waterfront views. Bright blue lounge chairs and a few tables and chairs shaded with umbrellas surround the pool area. Pool towels are provided. The pool area is open early morning to late night.
A spacious fitness center with numerous cardio and weight machines, free weights, and medicine balls is open 24-hours, seven days a week. There is a large flat-screen TV in the room. Workout towels are provide.
Other fitness activities include SUP Connection on the sand in front of the hotel, where guests can rent standup paddle boards and kayaks to cruise the boat channel and San Diego Bay. The Courtyard also rents bikes to hotel guests. Adjacent NTC Park offers tree-lined pathways that connect to Downtown, making biking an enjoyable waterfront experience. There are numerous jogging/walking paths as well.
Parking is ample, but requires a daily fee. The hotel has a no pets policy.

Courtyard Liberty Square is located in Harbor Square at the southern tip of Liberty Station in Point Loma. Hotel guests can wander tree-lined pathways in adjacent NTC Park or go for an early morning jog. There are plenty of benches throughout the park that make a good place to relax at sunset, and the park has a children’s playground that families will appreciate.
Liberty Station Marketplace is a 15-minute walk from the hotel through the park, or a quick drive. Travelers will find wine bars, breweries, art galleries, studios, theaters, and boutique shops here. There are also free walking tours of the arts district at Liberty Station. A standout restaurant for adults is Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, and kids will love the 50s throwback Corvette Diner with their 5,500-square-foot Gamers Garage Arcade.
The larger Point Loma neighborhood around Liberty Station is also worthy of exploration. Nearby Liberty Station, visitors will find Shelter and Harbor Islands. At the southern tip of Point Loma is the Point Loma Lighthouse, Cabrillo National Monument, and the Point Loma Tidepools. The west coast of Point Loma is home to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park for the best sunsets in San Diego, and eccentric Ocean Beach.
