Liberty Station is an enclave within the larger Point Loma peninsula neighborhood, located bayside on the former San Diego Naval Training Center. Within the mixed-use neighborhood, visitors to San Diego will find NTC, a waterfront park and green space with bike trails, shaded benches, and a children’s playground. There is also Liberty Station Marketplace with its art galleries, museums, theaters, boutique shops, and restaurants. Corvette Diner is a family-fun 50s-themed restaurant with a giant gaming arcade, and Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens is the neighborhood’s adult brewpub and garden playground.
Besides the Liberty Station cultural hub, Point Loma peninsula has a larger personality. Once a Portuguese fishing village, this affluent neighborhood is home to two popular islands – Harbor Island and Shelter Island, historic Cabrillo National Monument, Point Loma Tidepools, and Old Point Loma Lighthouse.
On Point Loma peninsula’s Pacific Coast, visitors will find one of the best places to catch a sunset “green flash” at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park.
