San Diego Restaurant Week

San Diego Restaurant WeekEvery September and January, the city of San Diego hosts its renowned Restaurant Week. This biannual countywide event spans the many diverse neighborhoods of San Diego, from the beaches of North County to the bustle of downtown.

More than 180 restaurants participate in this culinary affair that allows for restaurants to create a menu that speaks to its gastronomic heart, with tasty creations offered at fantastic prices.

Visitors can choose from an incredibly varied experience. Enjoy California cuisine at Leroy’s Kitchen and Lounge in a gorgeous Coronado Island setting. Bali Hai in Point Loma offers excellent Hawaiian fare. Searsucker is a fantastic choice for creative American dining amidst the bustle of downtown. The French Gourmet in Mission Bay offers authentic cookery, while the PB Ale House in Pacific Beach offers a fun atmosphere and casual eats. Iberico Spanish Bistro is a La Jolla favorite, while North County’s Chart House offers fantastic food right on the gorgeous Cardiff beach.

With so many restaurants to choose from, all options are sure to impress any set of taste buds. Diners can choose between the following options:

–       A three-course prix-fixe dinner menu for just $25, $35 or $45 per person

–       A two-course prix-fixe lunch menu for only $10, $15 or $20 per person.

The specific price is dependent upon each individual restaurant, but the great news is that these different price points ensure there is something for everyone.

You won’t need tickets or passes to enjoy access to this week of discounted dining. Simply show up at any participating restaurant or call ahead to make a reservation and explore the tastiness that the variety of restaurants has to offer. Reservations are recommended and can be made simply by calling the individual restaurant or visiting its website.

To make the decision process easier, the prix-fixe menus are available to view online before the start of the event. Foodies can browse through the diverse culinary collection to narrow down their best individual option(s) and move forward from there.

Not only are the prix-fixe menus tailored to give diners a fantastic taste of each restaurant, but the regular menus are available to order from as well.
